Kas Blau is not an average holiday accommodation; it is every guests home away from home: truly tropical, spacious, comfortable and relaxing.
The biggest eye catcher
The biggest eye catcher of the house is the huge (800 ft.2 plus!) covered wooden porch at the back: during daytime an ideal spot to relax in the hammock, at night the perfect place to enjoy your outdoor dinner and the tropical night.
The porch is furnished with a large dining table with reclining chairs, deckchairs, a hammock, reading– and soft lights and a ceiling fan. In the lush tropical garden, surrounding the porch, is a second hammock under the trees.
Kas Blau is well equipped for divers.
Not only because of its location (second row from the sea and in walking distance of “Bachelor’s Beach”), but also because of the convenient outside rinse tank and lockable storage room, to hang your dive gear.
Kas Blau offers ample space
Kas Blau ‘s floorplan also offers ample space on the inside: it has two large bedrooms (at least 215 ft.2 each), a new (2011) and beautiful bathroom, a spacious living room and a modern open kitchen. At the front of the house is a second porch.
One bedroom offers a double bed, the other one two single beds. Both rooms are equipped with split-unit (low noise) air conditioners and built in closets. One of the rooms is provided with a safe-deposit box.
If necessary, an extra bed/mattress can be added. Also there is a child’s bed available. In the living room you will find a sofa bed. The house is suitable for five persons maximum.
The bathroom is fitted with a shower (with hot water), toilet, sink and open closet with towels.
The living room offers a wooden (dining-/playing-/working-) table with chairs and a sitting area with a couch, lounge chairs and a bookcase with books and games. A portable radio/CD player is at your disposal.
On purpose there is no television in the house! Bonaire is famous for its relaxed and ‘outside’ living. A television does hardly fit that qualification, and our experience is that our guests hardly miss it! On the contrary, they enjoy it!
The u-shaped, concrete kitchen is fully supplied with all conveniences: a 4-burner gas stove, microwave, Senseo coffee maker, regular coffee maker, toaster and a large fridge with freezer. There is ample crockery, glassware, silverware, cooking utensils and pots and pans.
In the storage room you will find a fully automatic washing machine at your disposal. The barbeque, a large and a small cooler and two beach chairs can also be found there.
Remaining
Ordinary for us, but still good to mention: Kas Blau is well maintained, it’s clean and tastefully furnished with nice and durable inventory. Also good to know: besides the usual 110 Volts outlets there are ample 220 Volts outlets in Kas Blau.
Tips
You will find plenty of bed linens, towels and kitchen towels in Kas Blau. Beach towels however, we do not supply; you will have to bring those yourselves.
Although located in the vicinity of beaches and dive-sites, we strongly recommend you to rent a car or scooter during your stay.
